Speed Governor is one of the important mechanical safety protection devices of elevator.
Used to determine the actual operating speed of the car: when the actual operating speed of the elevator reaches 115% of the rated speed, the connecting mechanism on the governor first disconnects the non-self-resetting switch contact, thus disconnecting the safety circuit, and then drives the safety clamp action through the governor rope.
