Safety gear is one of the important mechanical safety protection devices of elevator;
Function: When the car or the counterweight is moving downward, it will slip, break the rope, lose control and so on. When it is speeding down, it will be linked with the speed limiter, and the pull rod will be lifted to make the safety gear block or ball move upward or horizontally. At the same time, the traction machine and brake will be powered off, and the car will slow down and be stopped on the guide rail by the safety gear.
